Voice of the Violin
by Andrea Camilleri
The 4th Inspector Montalbano mystery.
The inspector and a police driver crash into a parked car. After going up
to the house,
they discover the dead body of a beautiful woman who was suffocated face down on
her bed. Suspects include her aging husband who is a doctor, a shy admirer who
has
disappeared, her antiques-dealing lover from Bologna, and the victim's friend,
Anna,
who takes an immediate liking to the married inspector. But a reclusive master
violinist
may hold the key to the murder. In the meantime, Montalbano and his wife, Livia,
must
cope with the reality that their adopted son wants to stay with his foster
parents.
